Doruk Koleji and Truva Head-to-Head

After the seventh round in Turkish İş Bank Chess League, Manisa Doruk Koleji and Adana Truva are leading the field with perfect score, 14 points. Turkish Airlines follow them with 12 points. Beşiktaş and Servergazi have 10 points. In the seventh round TED College electrified Servergazi with 6-4, a crucial win for them and maybe a decisive blow for the latter in their fight for the top spots.

Round 6: Doruk and Truva Extending Their Winning Streak

Sixth round of the İş Bank Chess League did not bring much change in the course of events. Adana Truva won its seventh match in a row against Erbakir with 7.5-2.5 as did Manisa Doruk College won against Ezgi Chess Club with the same score. Servegazi crushed ITU with 8.5-1.5 while Turkish Airlines scored the same against Selçuk University. Beşiktaş won against Tarsus 6-4. Tophane won a crucial game against Antalya Deniz Gençlik with the score 6.5-3.5 while Pamukkale University won against Antalya Çallıspor narrowly by 5.5-4.5. İSEK Aquamatch won comfortably against TED College with 7-3.

Round 7: Manisa Doruk and Adana Truva Leads, TED Electrifes Servergazi

In the seventh round Adana Truva faced Beşiktaş and won 6,5-3,5 against the İstanbul club and prolonged its winning streak to eight rounds. The match between Turkish Airlines and Tarsus Zeka ended as a victory for the latter with 6-4. Despite GM Solak and GM Abbasov's win against GM Gagunashvili and IM Can, the victories of youth boards were more than enough to compensat the losses on top boards for Turkish Airlines.

The biggest upset of the league was witnessed in the seventh round. Denizli Servergazi was inflicted by TED College with 6-4, a crucial win for the club from the capital of Turkey in terms of not relegating and a heavy blow for Servergazi in their fight for the top spots. İSEK Aquamatch won yet another match this time against Antalya Deniz Gençlik with 7-3. Pamukkale University defeated Bursa Tophane with slightest margin, 5.5-4.5 and moved higher in the standings.

After the seventh round Truva Chess Club and Manisa Doruk College are leading the league head-to-head with 14 points followed by Turkish Airlines at 12 points. Beşiktaş and Servergazi has 10 points and sharing the fourth place.

In the eight round Beşiktaş and Turkish Airlines are going to face each other. Last year, Turkish Airlines won the game with 5.5-4.5 but Beşiktaş was the side to win the leauge title.
