Turkey Clubs Championship in Konya
İSEK Aqumatch, a team consisting of GM Suat Atalık, WGM Ekaterina Atalık, trainers and players FM Tolga Demirel, Erşan Gökerman and their pupils won Turkey Clubs Championship 2007 and became the first team to qualify for Turkey İş Bank Chess League with 16 points. The other three teams to qualify for Turkey İş Bank Chess League are Adana Truva, Denizli Server Gazi Belediye and Antalya Deniz Gençlik with 13 points.

2007 Turkey Clubs Championship, second league, is being organized in Konya between June 30 - July 5. İş Bankası Chess League is one of the strongest leagues in Europe. However, second league is getting stronger every year. The highest rated player in the event is the recent co-winner of Valjevo 2007 GM Suat ATALIK and some of the strongest players in the event are 2006 European Individual Women's Champion WGM Ekaterina ATALIK, GM Gadir GUSEINOV, GM Orazly ANNAGELDYEV, IM Malkhaz SULASHVILI and IM Tornike SANIKIDZE.
There are 47 clubs from 29 cities including 2 Northern Cyprus teams. There are 930 players, 735 men and 195 women in total.
