After the 8th Round of the 5th Izmir Open Chess Tournament GM Rauf Mamedov and GM Vladimir Georgie made draw. GM Evgenij Miroshnichenko beats IM Zvisko Bratanov, IM Milen Vasilev beats GM Giorgi Bagaturov and both reached 7 points.

After the 7th round of the 5th Izmir Open Chess Tournament, GM Rauf Mamedov (AZE) is the leader with 6,5 points. His game with GM Evgenij Miroshnichenko in the 7th round ended 1/2-1/2.
